My favorite meditations

Meditation is a practice that saved me in my darkest hours, and allowed me to understand why religious prayer is so vital to some. In light of recent events, I wanted to share my favorite meditations and HIGHLY encourage those who are struggling emotionally to consider trying them. They are a short term stress reliever, not a substitute for long term mental health help if that is needed. You don’t need to stay 100% still. It can be difficult to empty your mind immediately, and can even take months/years depending on the person. Regardless please take care of your mental health in a world that can be apathetic & incomprehensible at times. Love is still here, love is still around us & within us. Find it, cherish it, protect it, share it.

Narcissistic Abuse

While NPD doesn’t automatically make someone abusive, those of us who experienced the combination would benefit from this meditation. Despite the title, this meditation can work for most cases of verbal abuse, anyone who constantly put you down and made you feel like the cause of their destruction. It helps. Nobody is coming to save you. Save yourself, hug yourself

I enjoy finding meditations like this, meant for a quick break during a busy or stressful day. It’s important to remain grounded throughout all of life’s chaos. In a world that praises putting work before your mental health, don’t forget that you can be a hard worker who doesn’t forget to give yourself 5 minutes to breathe. You are worth at least 5 minutes at SOME point. No matter where you are or what you’re doing, try to find time. Even if you just go to the bathroom for a few moments to collect yourself

The only thing promised to us in life is change. During difficult changes, seek the strength to accept them. No matter what comes and goes, you can evolve and adjust. You will always have yourself and you are capable of powering through absolutely everything.

The relationship we have with ourselves shows in every aspect of our lives. This is exactly why you’ll hear so many spiritual people speak about mirrors, an analogy for projection. When we get into a romantic or platonic relationship, we nurture it. Whether it be presents, compliments, quality time, emotional check-ins, etc. We need to nurture our relationship with someone in order to maintain a healthy bond. At times people will show so much love to others, but not the same love to themselves. In other instances, you’ll see how that lack of self-love shows in the way they love others. I am sharing this as I reconnect with myself once again. It is our most important relationship
